If you go behind the Taoist Temple (between the trees) and then tap the ACT button you will be teleported to South Mount behind the well (next to the residence near the Ancient Mine). If you tap on the well again you will be teleported back.[1]
Sometimes NPC's can be seen here: Pong Ching praying, Chris and his dad or Jim Ortiz.
