Crops can be grown from seeds purchased at the Grocery and Wild Crops can be found around town. Both types of crops are grown in certain seasons, so they change every season. Magic Seeds can be purchased from the Mall and can grow during any season.

Basics

Watering

In order for crops to grow and be harvested, they need to be watered every day. The Pot is a Tool which is used to water plants and can be upgraded to hold more water. Placing a Sprinkler can automate the process, like the Farmer Sprinkler found under Crafting and the Quality Sprinkler found under the Mall tab. Additionally, Rain will also automatically water all crops.

Crops dying due to lack of water has been temporarily disabled by the developers.

Scarecrow

Scarecrows are an Equipment item to reduce the rate of loss for crops, which can be destroyed by crows if left unattended. There are two scarecrows: the default one found under Crafting and the Demon Scarecrow found under the Mall tab.

Quality

The quality of crops improves over time as the player increases their Farming skill for up to Darkgold quality. An increase in quality also increases the sell prices of the crop.

Harvesting

While some crops are one time harvests, some can be harvested for up to five times before they disappear. The growth time between harvest-able phases differs for every plant.

Fruit Trees

Fruit trees are different from usual crops because they can be continually harvested until chopped down. These do not need to be watered, but they do require a clear grid of 3x3 from other trees. Paths and crops will not inhibit the growth of trees. All fruit trees should take 15 days to grow and reproduce fruit every five days.

Scale Powder

Scale Powder is an item that can accelerate crop growth. The amount of the scale powder used correlates to how many days are left until the crops final stage (i.e. 15 scale powder to grow a fruit tree from seed to harvest-able tree).
